Inside was a complete kit including an instruction book that guided us well until we realized that the vertical supporting boards were missing the drilled holes needed to receive the front vertical covering pieces. We called Spartak and were answered by a slightly skeptical human. So we examined the situation carefully and called Spartak again and got the same man. This time he asked if we could send him photos of the boards and our email address. We did. We received a very polite and apologetic email offering to send us replacement boards. He said he had never seen this problem before. Their computerized system usually works or tells them of problems.We had done a lot of work to install our boards before we noticed the problem, so we wanted to try to drill the holes ourselves. This is a perfectly fine corner bookcase. I needed something compact and inexpensive for a small corner, and I wanted it to be easy to assemble. Check, check, and check. This set of shelves is tall but narrow enough to fit in a tight corner between a window AC unit and a closet door, and it doesn't keep the closet door from opening. It cost me $29.99 plus $3.99 for Prime overnight shipping. Not too shabby (until I saw the finished product -- see next paragraph). It took me about 8 minutes to put together, which included 3 minutes just to get it out of the packaging.My only complaint is that $30 seems just a few dollars too much for something made of veneer-covered particle board and plastic tubes. The shelf is purely functional, not particularly attractive. But, because it's thin and not heavy I could put it together myself even though the directions recommend two people assemble it. The package comes with wall fasteners, which I did not need and an extra leg for the bottom shelf. Very easy to assemble and can be a bit rickety. But, once in place they stay put.Things you will need: screwdriver, a sense of geometry! and carpeted floor. Even the directions recommend a carpeted floor. The directions are horribly written and illustrated, btw. Note: the longer piece on the side of the shelf is actually two pieces and you can see a seam in the middle. These shelves are made in China and have the feel of mass production.
