cheap bookshelves for sale, wall mounted bookshelves

It is a very nice bookshelf that actually looks like "real" furniture as it is finished wood, NOT particle board with a laminated photographic woodgrain. It took me only about 30 minutes to assemble the first one that I received. I was so pleased that I ordered a second one. This is when the trouble set in.

The second one arrived with damage (gouges, chips, scratches) to many of the wooden pieces. I contacted Amazon and they were very helpful, paying the return shipping and sending out a replacement via 1-day shipping. Unfortunately, the third one just arrived. When I first opened the carton, I was excited as there was no broken Styrofoam or readily apparent damage to the first couple of pieces I removed. It was devastating to unpackage the Top Shelf and discover a huge 1-1/2" long gouge in the top edge.

These bookshelves are almost identical to ones that I fell in love with at an expensive retailer who wanted almost $600 per bookcase. These bookcases would not be suitable for a large, or heavy collection of books, but they are fantastic for trade paper backs, art books, and display books. The open sides give it a much lighter feel in the room.

Pros: goes together easily, light enough to move solo once assembled, finish is a lovely color, solid wood and not particle board and contact paper. Does not look cheap, which is nice.

Cons:
Of the three I got, all three were slightly off-level. Easily fixed with a felt dot under a corner, but still...if all three were like that, the odds are that most of them are a tiny bit off.

Inspect each piece of wood, some are finished better than others, and you'll want to assure that all the "good" sides are facing front.

Bookshelf holds LOTS of books and is deep enough to display ceramics, etc. The wood smells like chemicals, but thank goodness that fades away. Very nice shelves!
